Dining Reservations and Park Hopping question

Does anyone know:

If you start your day in your "reserved" park, and then park hop to another where you have a dining reservation, but arrive to find the park filled to capacity, would you still be able to enter due to the reservation? (For example, morning in MK, dinner reservation in Epcot, but Epcot fills to capacity and they are not letting anyone else in).

According to Disney if the park is at capacity you will not be able to enter.
They will assist you in cancelling your dining reservation without penalty.
But according to things I've read if you have park hopper you are not likely to be denied entry into the park you are hopping to regardless of if the park reservations have been "sold out" for the day... so I guess I wouldn't be too concerned.
