Dining Planning For June...Insane!

I find it insane that trying to make reservations for our trip in June are already booked up, aside from a few times which we were able to nab up! I remember in the past calling restaurants the morning of and making reservations, but now 3+ months in advance, insane! Miss the times when you planned dinner around what park you were at that day, not the other way around!

If you're not happy with your times or if there's something you really want, stalk the website. I know it's frustrating, but things really do open up...especially in those last couple of weeks before travel. I find it worth it even just to upgrade your ADR times. While I know it can be glitchy, I find it much more convenient to check the dining site online 50-100+ times per day vs. calling Disney that often.

As for BoG standby, we went in November on the 2nd day of ADRs and they weren't taking any walk ups, but I've heard some people have had success. The reality, some people hold onto ADRs until the last minute and will drop them just before they get charged...so you could even check with the concierge or guest services in the parks each day to see if there's an opening.

Sorry- Newbie here but someone mentioned a website to make reservations. Do you get access to the website when you book ? Also, is there a list of restaurants ? How did you decide what restaurant you wanted to visit ?
You can book dining reservations either over the phone or online. Online does tend to have an issue or two when the system come online at 6:00 AM due to high traffic. The best thing to do is book the harder to get dining one reservation at a time online and then call for the remainder or if you have problems.

You can find a list of restaurants on Disney's official site, but the information on WDWMagic as well as Allears tend to be much better than the official site.

Yeah. And they even say it several times on the planning DVD, so every crazy person (like myself) has their ADR wish list planned 7 months in advance so they can be online at 5am 180 days out. I mean who plans where they are eating on a particular day 6 months in adcance?! Lol

Can't imagine.....I don't know where I want to eat next week, so I'm surely not going to commit to 6 months. Looks like it's counter service forever for us...

I would call and see if there is anything (they may be able to see things better then you having to enter new times/party every single time hoping to catch something, you know?
