Dining Plan

Is there any word on when the dining plan may return? We had it back in 2018 or 2019 when we went down. We are planning on another trip in October of this year and curious if we may see it by then.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

Why do you say that? I am not disagreeing with you just curious on why you believe this course. I talked with our travel agent from Disney & they have been told several times "soon". Disney must have a different definition of "soon" than a lot of us do.
The UK current deal runs up until the Christmas season . People will have already booked..
Just my 2 pence

Just adding there are still staffing issues and everything isn't 100% back open. There may not be enough tables available and it would be a very bad thing if Disney sold the DDP only for people to not be get tables by 6:01 am at 60 days

No news since last July when Disney announced it would come back at some point in some form.
I'd guess there will be changes to it and I'm also guessing the return date will be announced in the next few months but I'm also thinking it may not return until 2023.

dining plans are part of an incentive package to lure people to book trips. With 2022 seeing huge crowds, there's little reason for Disney to offer this right now. I agree, with the other poster, 2023 at the earliest.

As someone who has gotten the dining plan 14 times I don't think simply offering dining plans is the incentive.
I think FREE dining is the incentive that made people book. I got free dining 10 of those times. I only got it the other 4 times because that's what I was used to. Having gone twice in the past year with no dining plan I only ate at one TS each trip and to be honest it was freeing to just eat where I wanted and order what I wanted instead of having to plan it all. And I'm also the person that used to think planning was no big deal but now that I don't plan as much wow I'm happier.

When is the annual passes coming back for Disney Vacation Club Members. It seems like this group of people get no discounts. Just paying out timeshare money but get nothing in return. We are planning a trip this July and it’s hard to plan 24 days without dining plan or passes.

The sale of APs is in Disney’s hands, not DVC’s. Until Disney start selling them there is nothing DVC can do to about it.

We still get discounts, if eligible, which are almost the same as the discounts AP holders get. And the “timeshare money” gets you your rooms.

There are far more than just DVC members wanting AP sales back.

We were told that it is definitely returning but we do not have a date. If I had to take a guess it will either be in Oct at the start of their new fiscal year or early 2023
