Hey guys and gals! I have 2 dining plan inquiries for y'all. This will be our first time on the dining plan in September so we're still learning!

First off, I was planning on using a snack credit at Starring Rolls for the oh-so-delicious cupcakes but then I read somewhere that SR is also a quick service location. So my question is am I able to get a sandwich there with a cupcake for dessert as a QS credit? And what kind of sandwiches do they have there? I've seen them before but I've been so busy trying to get my sweet fix that I never look at what they are!

And secondly, my mother and I might split some lunches due to having early dinners. In the end we might have 1 or 2 QS credits left over. I know there is no rule set in stone by Disney as to if you can do this or not but I've read you are able to turn your QS credits into snack credits? Is this true and where can you do this? Is it only at your resort? I totally wouldn't mind loading up on Mickey Mouse rice krispy treats if we do end up with a couple extra QS credits :)

And as far as the credits, I don't know if you can but I'm inclined to say no to changing them for snacks but again I could be wrong

OK cool so it looks like yes, they can be used as a QS option. I just hope they allow you to pick ANY dessert and not just have a set couple things that you can choose from. I figure if the cupcake is a snack credit, it should probably be good as a dessert on a QS credit as well! Thanks Crush!! :)

It's quite possible that many of them won't be desserts but you never know

Yes, the cupcakes are considered something you can get with the snack credit. However, I'm wondering if I use a quick service credit there, if the cupcake would be considered a dessert since the QS credit comes with a dessert.

I would think that a cupcake would work as a desert with the sandwich and either chips..fruit for the side..

When we ate at SR, for QS we had a choice between a ham or turkey sandwich, and we got a drink and a bag of chips and most definately a cupcake for dessert, and it all just counted as 1 QS credit. Also you can convert leftover QS credits to snack credits at your resort, it's a little known secret called a continental combo; you can get 3 snack items for 1 QS credit.

Also, if you are sharing lunches, you can use the quick service credits for a shared breakfast.

I did a quicke service lunch at Starring Rolls during my last trip, and it was great. The sandwiches are absolutely huge so itmay be one you want to share.

Thank you for that info!! I just googled pics of the sandwiches and, oh my! They are huge! I think this may be the meal we split since we will have an ADR for Narcoossee's at 5:30pm. Don't want to be full from that!!

Yes you can convert QS credits into snacks. Depending on where you do it really determones what you get. Some CMs are more creative than others with what they will allow (and how much) you to take. We havent used the dining plan in several years (with an AP we purchase TIW). I'm sure WDW has a specific policy as to what you can take when converting, but again, it seemed up to the CM when we did it. And I can assure you, they were really generous!

We just got back from a combined stay at both AKL & Pop and no, you can no longer convert a qs meal into snack credits. In the past, you could convert 1 qs meal into 3 snacks. I spoke with a couple of managers and, unfortunately, that policy has changed as of 12/31/2011. Now it's use them or lose them as per the ddp. :(

It's actually at the discretion of the F&B location from what I've been told. They don't have to do it but some will and some won't. It would be a 1 for 1 swap now and generally the only places will do it are the ones that serve both QS and snack coupons. Same goes for TS to QS. They have to have both types for it to work. Just what I've been told so I thought I'd share...

As far as SRs, I would imagine that it would count as the dessert but it always depends on the price of the item. No hurt in going in to ask though!

We used 2 leftover QS meals (2 years ago I think) to get a shiz ton of rice krispie treats to take home. 6 I think. So 3 per QS. We also split a lot of QS breakfasts so we weren't too full for lunch or dinner.
