Ok so this will be our first time to use the dining plan so please excuse my noob question :). We have the 2012 Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining package which includes 1 table service, 1 quick service and 1 snack per person per night. My question is this...

We will be arriving in WDW around 6pm May 13th. When we arrive and check in do we automatically have 1 table service, 1 quick service and 1 snack to use for that evening? Thanks!

Yes you do!

You have a set of credits for every night stayed!

You dining credits are not divided out into days. You have all of your credits the second you check in. If the mood strikes you, you can use all of your credits on the first day.

Once you are checked in your dining plan goes into effect. I would recommend that you check out which restaurants you want to use for your sit down dinners, and book them ASAP as most of those book up fast. Enjoy Disney... we do:wave:

I have had reservations for about 2 months now, I was mainly wondering about the day we arrived. We will probably just go to mk when we arrive and eat at a quick service spot and use the leftover sit down meal to trade in for snacks at the end of the trip!

Oh, I hate to see you waste a sit-down meal! If youc an't use it your first day, why don't you add in a character breakfast on your last day (or another day) or change one of your sit-down dinners to a signature meal (requiring 2 credits). Those sit-down meals are what make the cost of the Dining Plan worthwhile. Don't try to waste it on a Snack (and I say Try because there is no guarantee you will be allowed to do this).

Funny, about 10 minutes after my last post I added Coral Reef to one of our days which will make us eating at 2 sit down restaraunts that day! So it wont be wasted

On the DDP, each person on your reservation receives 1 TS, 1 QSR and 1 snack credit for each night of their stay, as well as 1 refillable mug. You can use them anyway you like until midnight of the day you check out of your resort.

You need to read the new rules you cannot trade them in for snacks they must be used on a sit down or just lost before the end of your stay at midnight.. I would use it somewhere. use it for a Character Breakfast or Crystals that night for dinner. Its a 1 TS meal

Do remember you only get 1 TS, 1 QS and 1 Snack per NIGHT and depending on what time you are leaving on your last day, you'll probably want something to eat before you go, and if you've a late flight you may even need 2 meals.
