In just the past few weeks, we've seen park ticket increases, dining plan increases, and also an end to bringing outside food into the parks. Just wondering, what's next?
Resort fees apparently.

ok... is it just me or are they raising prices of EVERYTHING across the board (resorts, food, tickets, etc.) - which ends up costing the average family much more than before because increases are in everything. It would make more sense to stagger these things a little better... but people are still gonna come... so.... ugh....
Price increases on top or price increases. Its frustrating. Some people want to work 51 weeks a year in misery to go to Disney for the other week. Disney should embrace them, not push them away with large price increases. If they were smart they would find a way to let them just lock in for years on end and give them a break on price increases somehow.
I saw he posted yesterday that all Character Buffet lunches are priced the same as Dinner now. Akershus went from $49 to $58. He gave an example of of a family of four (2 adults, 13 year old and 7 year old) and how lunch would now cost $243.80 w/tax & 18% tip. It was ridiculous before but now it's just getting obscene.
Oh I guess you can put a price on ONCE IN A LIFETIME now right?!? C'mon Cletus, what are you gonna do.....FLY over to actual Norway and eat lunch THERE? Oh and just probably happen to casually bump into ACTUAL PRINCESSES that are wanting to each lunch with your family? Haha, not likely! Cause that would be thousands of dollars so this is a massive savings for the same experience.
We get it for the free dining...sure the level of food has degraded but hey I need my steak dinners guy!don't hate me hate Disney for offering it for free.

I believe that this is the official statement regarding DVC members.
It will include DVC members... Eventually. But, not right away like all other people who buy the dining packages.
"Please be aware that this price increase does not affect DVC members or their guests (renters). DVC pricing for the DDP will not increase until the new pricing is released for 2017 stays. The price increase will only affect those guests that book a Magic Your Way package with Dining through Disney."
Paying for shanghai
Not us. We're out. I don't know which straw specifically broke the camel's back, but we're done.
If we go again, it won't be for a long time. No desire to return any time soon.
The same thing every year? Things get more expensive yet the parks still hit record levels with over 90% room occupancy. Prices are actually rising too slowly. A WDW vacation is still priced below the market's willingness to pay.In just the past few weeks, we've seen park ticket increases, dining plan increases, and also an end to bringing outside food into the parks. Just wondering, what's next?
That is absolutely not "likely" at this point. It was a survey question, not some plan that folks have uncovered that's definitely (or even likely) coming.According to another thread, a likely resort fee for things to are right now free (wifi, MagicExpress etc)
That's bad parenting and uncultured Americans. Doesn't have much to do with the dining plan.Dumbed down menus for dumbed down palates.
I'm confused. Is that fundamentally any different than booking a single night and buying a single day ticket?Has anyone reported on the minimum 2 day tickets now on WDW packages yet?
You cannot buy a WDW Package with a 1-day ticket starting today.I'm confused. Is that fundamentally any different than booking a single night and buying a single day ticket?
Park ticket increases
Dining plan increases
Possible resort fee
Looks like there's no end in sight.![]()
