If you are staying on Disney property for 9 nights, but only have tickets to the parks for 6 days (shh universal shhh).. how many table service credits do you get?

I feel like I should know this but the Disney website is confusing me! Thank you :)

It's tied to your room, so you'll get (and pay for) nine TS, QS, and Snack credits.

Honestly, if you're going to Universal for three days it might be difficult to get your money's worth from the DDP.

Dining plan is based on number if nights in resort. So 9 nights equals 9 table service credits, 9 quick service credits, 9 snack credits per person per night.
You could still easily get your money's worth by making a couple signature dining or dinner show reservations to compensate for your universal days:)

As people have already stated, it is tied to the nights of your room and not your ticket.

While using an extra 3 days worth of TS credits is pretty easy, the snacks and counter service one can be a bit tricky to use up.

I would take a hard look at the numbers and try to determine if the DDP is really the way to go for you. While it is nice to have everything paid for before you arrive, it might not be the least expensive option.

An option that might be worth considering is an idea that someone on here suggested in the past, of putting the money you would pay for the DDP on a gift card - that way you could use it how/when you want for meals/snacks without being limited by what type of credits you have. It would still be sort of "paid for" ahead, and if you made it a Visa-type gift card rather than a Disney one, you could use it at Universal, too. or if you had money left over you could use it at home :)jawdrop: I know, sorry Disney! Or, you could use a Disney gift card while on property, and pay however you had already planned when at Universal)

This is kind of how I managed my points while on the dining plan and also going to universal. With the dining plan I would do breakfast and then a late lunch/dinner while at Disney. For the days I went to universal I would eat a QS breakfast at the resort. I figured what days to use the extra TS points earlier in the week and eat 3 meals for a few days. QS breakfast and then TS lunch and TS Dinner.

Another vote for going heavy on the signatures if you stay with DDP. I would sit down and do the math though. Burning 2 credits on the regular DDP for a signature meal doesn't usually give you the best value per credit. i.e. it's a big monetary sacrifice for the convenience of the plan.
