Hi, I am new here and hope someone can help me. We book our vacation at WDW with the Deluxe Dining Plan but I can't figure out how much it actually costs per person per day.

2008 $69.99/adult and $19.99/child per night

2009 $71.99 per night per adult or junior (ages 10-17), $20.99 per night for children (ages 3-9)

What about the regular TS CS and Snack meal plan?

Regular Dining Plan with one Table Service, one Counter Service and a Snack:
In 2008: $37.99 Adult, $9.99 Child
In 2009: $39.99 Adult, $10.99 Child

And to be thoroguh:
The new 2009 Quick Service Dining Plan that gives you 2 Counter Service and 2 Snacks per day (i.e. no Table Service), plus a refillable mug per person:
$29.99 Adult, $8.99 Child

Thanks for the cost breakdown! Do you know when the Quick Service Dining Plan begins? It says 2009, but when in 2009? I will arrive on Jan. 1st. I have never done the Dining Plan before because too busy playing in the parks to want to have a sit down meal everyday. This Quick Service plan sounds more for me. Also, is there ever an annual pass discount with dining plans?

As far as I know, the 2009 plans (and pricing) start with check-ins on January 1, 2009.

As for AP discounts... I have never seen discounts on the Dining Plan portion of a package other than the "Free Dining" promotions, which are only during select dates, typically in August and September. With Free Dining, you must purchase a package with a rack-rate room and at least a 1-day ticket. (You can also upgrade the 1-day ticket from the Free Dining package into an AP, like I did last month)

Earlier this year, they opened up the Dining Plan to AP holders. An AP-with-Dining package removes the ticket requirement as part of the package. Otherwise, it's exactly the same. There have also been times that they offered an AP discount on the room and still allowed you to add on the Dining Plan (which was a first, because up until then the room *always* was Rack Rate or with a small AAA discount). But the AP discount is only on the room, not the Dining Plan, which is full price.

Keep an eye on here and on MouseSavers for any AP discounts.

Thank you! I appreciate your help. I wonder what/if any the AP discount will be for January. I hope it's good and I will keep watching for the announcement.

Also another quick question, does anyone know if it is it possible to have 4 people in a room at a resort, but buy a dinning plan for 5 people?

I called yesterday about wether we wanted to add it to ours and she told me there is tax on top of those prices She wouldn't give me exact she just said just under 40.00 dollars for adults and just under 11.00 for child this is for the dining plan not the deluxe, just thought you ought to know they tax it as well but don't tell you these things. 2008 so there will be tax in 2009 to those prices.

Is the Dining Plan valid on the night that you check out? For example, I am checking in January 8th and checking out January 12th? Will I only be able to get food for January 8th through the 11th (the nights I am there) or is it valid all 5 days?

Your dining credits will not expire until mid-night on the day of check-out. :)
