Dining plan and credits

My wife and I received the free dining for our trip in November. We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort so we received the one quick service, one sit down and snack per day plan. If we don't want to use the sit down credit could we use it for a quick service instead? It seems like it should be no issue since it would end up being better for Disney than us. We just don't want all sit down for that many of our meals..

If you don't want to sit down everyday for a meal, instead of using a table service credit for a quick service meal. You could save the credit and use it towards a signature restaurant (which requires 2 TS credits).

The obvious answer is yes you can - Disney wins as you're paying over the odds for a QS meal and losing out on having a TS meal.
However, think of it from Disney's point of view and the answer is "no you can't". If you don't want a TS meal on any one day, you still gotta eat. Once you run out of QS credits Disney will make you pay for any additional QS meals that you eat. They won't mind you wasting any unused TS credits

I've heard it is discretionary although usually the answer is yes. But I agree with the poster above that you would do better to pay out of pocket for the extra QS meal and to save the TS credit to do a signature TS meal.

Did you check and see if any of the current promotions for your stay are better than the free dining plan you don't really want to use?
