I just booked a Dining Package for Reserved Seating for The Jungle Book Alive at Animal Kingdom. The lunch and dinner restaurants are Tusker House and Tiffins. Lunch is the 9 pm show and Dinner is the 10:30 show. Very Similar to Fantasmic at Hollywood. Wanted to make sure others were aware of these Dining Packages to save a Fast Pass.

I booked Saturday for my August trip. Tried for Tusker but was closed out, so booked Tiffins.

Wanted to book again for my October excursion and Disney apparently is not accepting reservations for the show this far out. I guess that Jungle will have concluded its run by then....

Where did it say that lunch was the early show and dinner the later? I'm not yet able to make a reservation for our September trip, but we would really like to do dinner at tiffins and then do the early show. I guess we can do lunch if we have to. With a 4yo there is no way we can do a 10:30 show. Chances are pretty good DS will sleep through a 9pm show as it is...

When I called to book that's what the Dining CM told me on the phone. I booked a lunch at Tiffin and it's for the 9:30 pm show. The CM also stated that Tiffin will not accept the Disney dining plan for Jungle Book Dining Package. If you didn't want the dining package Tiffin's is two credits. The dining package meal didn't have a contact yet with the DDP

They aren't accepting dining plan for Tusker House either....even though the website says Dining Plan Eligible, the confirmation email says dining plan not accepted. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Phone rep said it might change in a few weeks...

I put the show on my itinerary and it only goes till September 4th. Which is about 2 weeks before we get there. I do hope they do extend it as would love to see as would the kids. We do have dinner reservations at Tuskers for Saturday, September 17, but it is early 4:30 pm.

I'm so glad I read this post. I booked the Jungle Book Dining Package at Tusker House assuming it would be included in the dining plan. I didn't notice the part on our confirmation where it said DDP was not accepted:oops:.
We would have had quite the surprise. It was for a group of 9 of us on our last night. Not only would we have been out a lot of money, we would not have been able to use our last 9 credits as we fly out early the next morning.

I have a 630pm at Tusker and mine is also for the early show.

As for DDP, a number of travel agents have said this is a glitch in the system and that it will be covered under DDP. I can't confirm for certain, but they were saying that Disney loaded the ADRs to the system before getting everything squared away in the DDP part of the system, but that it will be covered by the time the first pkg meals are served. Again...just what I've heard. So, I wouldn't write it off just yet if you're strictly DDP for your meals.

Agent we spoke with said the expectation is that it will be on the dining plan by the time the reservation comes up, but they can't guarantee it. Said something about a system glitch and everything hadn't been squared away yet.

*****UPDATE****
I just called today...everything is in place for Tusker House and Tiffin for the DDP and the Jungle Book Dining Package as of the time of this posting. If you made reservations previously, there is nothing you need to do.

I noticed the Jungle Book Alive show currently only goes until September 4th. Anyone have any idea on if it is going to be extended. Even only for a couple of weeks. I will be there by that time. :)

Not according to the agent we spoke to today :banghead::banghead::banghead:

According to her, Tusker House is still not accepting DDP for the Jungle Book Dining Package.

It should run until Rivers of Light is ready to go.
I'll be at WDW from 8/31-9/10. I've already booked a Jungle Book Package during the early part of my stay. I'm hoping Rivers of Light debuts during that time and I can see them both.

I just checked online about the package accepting the dining plan on my reservation details and it says it accepts the dining plan and is one table credit but I was concerned because my confirmation email said it doesn't even though when I made the reservation it said it did.

More likely, your Jungle Book package automatically converts to ROL. AK is advertised as open to 11pm through Labor Day. Easier just to say the Dining Package is for the Jungle Book show until then.

Not yet. I assume you mean nighttime closure and not necessarily JB. I'm waiting same as you for late October / early November.

We'd like to watch Jungle Book so the dining option would have been perfect. We did the same with Fantasmic last year and it was brilliant. This will be our last trip for a few years so didn't want to miss the late opening either.

To add another question.... I have an 8:05am Reservation at Tusker House and would like to get the package with reserved seating, but the earliest i can get is 9:15am, Do you think If I called they could have it switched for me? I would really like to keep the 8:05am (Pre-Park Opening) reservation. If they don't let you switch, can you still see this show without the package? I read that the new seating only holds about 10,000 people... Thanks!
