Just drop by guest relations ahead of time and get a "It's my birthday" button for her. Make sure your server knows it's her birthday, and you may get a nice treat for her.

We just got back from our trip on friday, and it was my ds's 8th bday. He wore his pin all week long. At each sit down meal we had, they gave him a cupcake and if we were at a character meal the characters all signed a bday card for him. We ate at Coral Reef for lunch and our server gave him a lite cube in his soda, and let him pick off of the adult menu for any dessert he wanted, he chose the chocolate lava cake.. he loved the attention and it was a really magical experience for him.

also, you can call your front desk if your staying on site, and tell them it is your childs bday. they will send a signed picture card to your room with your childs favorite character on it and a few balloons! all free!

We went to LTT for our daughter's birthday last year, and we told them when we made the reservation. They decorated the table for her, and she got a card signed by Mickey and Minnie, and I think she also got a free dessert (not sure about that) The food was excellent! :slurp:

Just bear in mind, depending on the restaurant, the server, the day, the crowds, the heat, the humidity and anything else you can think of, that may affect what, if anything, the servers are willing to "do" for a birthday kid.

You can, if you want, call ahead and arrange (for a fee) to have a birthday cake made special. They start at (I think) 12.50 for a simple 5" diameter cake, and prices go up from there.

And sometimes, you may get a small cake for free. It all depends on the restaurant, the server, and the other factors mentioned above. :)

I got a small one at Biergarten a few years back with no prior planning other than the CM noticing my birthday button when she handed me the check at the end of the meal.

We got one once there too for our anniversary without asking. It was good too, and big enough that we shared it with the rest tof the people at our table.
