Hey guys!
My boyfriend is a really pickey eater and only likes the basics, pasta, hotdogs, chicken, fries, steak, nothing fancy about it and unfortunatally he HATES Vegtables. Me on the other hand ill try anything! On our last trip we pretty much stuck to counter service meals, but next time i want to try some of disneys sit down options. I was just wondering what you suggest...

A few places i really want to try are:
Liberty tree tavern
Palace resturant
Cheif Mickeys or Donalds breakfestsaurious (sp)
Tonys
Ohanas
Le Cellar
San Angels (not sure on the name but in Mexican Pavilion)

And im open to any suggestions!

  • Le Cellier will be good for steak.
  • Crystal Palace is a buffet, so hopefully he'd find enough to his liking.
  • Either character breakfast should be fine.
  • Personally, I was not impressed with either Tony's or Liberty Tree; too ho-hum and bland for me. That said, may work for you.
  • Ohana, San Angel: check the menus online, but I think both may be a little too different for a picky eater.
FWIW. Good luck and have fun.

My kids are quite picky and they love the Liberty Tree Tavern, Chef Mickey's, Concourse Steakhouse and The Yachtsman Steakhouse. Believe it or not they even like Restaurant Marrakesh. Try The Whispering Canyon Cafe for some smokey BBQ and great breakfasts.

Picky eaters have never been hungry enough.

Let him do without for awhile and then maybe he'll learn to eat.

I hope that you enjoy your trip.

If he's really really picky, most restaurants have chicken strips and fries or mac 'n cheese on their kids menus, and I'm sure they'd find a way to make an adult portion.

My advice would be to look at the menus at All Ears and have him look at them too. That way you both know in advance what the food choices are.

Tell him to grow up and eat what is put down in front of him.

My OH is a fussy eater also but I will not lose out on a good meal just to please her.

I am the pickiest eater I know so it's always a challenge finding places to eat at the World.

I enjoyed Liberty Tree Tavern when we went there for a character dinner. It was simple comfort food and the atmosphere was fun. I have a phobia of mustard and they put it on the ham, that was the only negative thing about the meal.

The Crystal Palace buffet for breakfast is nice and diverse. I managed to find quite a few things to eat and enjoyed every one of them. I haven't been there for any meals other than breakfast.

I didn't enjoy Chef Mickey's breakfast as much as I enjoyed Crystal Palace. I think it's because Crystal Palace had an omlette bar where I could order a simple ham and cheese omlette. I only ate the biscuits and bacon at Chef Mickey's.

I wouldn't recommend Tony's. I am not big into Italian food, but I am always able to find something when I go to an Italian restaurant. Not at Tony's. The people I was with love Italian food, but they didn't like Tony's either.

Ohanas has a nice atmosphere, but the food was far too exotic for my taste. I took little nibbles here and there, but didn't really eat anything.

Le Cellier is fantastic. :slurp: I get the same thing every time we go...the Maple Barbeque Steak with Cream Cheese mashes potatoes. At first I was hesitant to order it because I am so picky, but I had heard such wonderful things about it, I decided to try it. Yum, yum, yum.

For me, Mexican cuisine consists of nachos with only meat and cheese. I don't like beans or sour cream or many of the other things they put into Mexican dishes. That being said, I really couldn't find anything to eat on the menu at the restaurant inside the Mexican pavillion.

My boyfriend and I are in the opposite roles as you are yours :p I know he gets frustrated with me being so picky, but we always manage to find a middle ground and have a wonderful time at WDW!

Most buffets, especially character meals, have a kids' table with chicken fingers, fries & mac and cheese, at the very least. Liberty Tree is about as safe as food gets anywhere- turkey, bashed potatoes, m&c, apple cobbler.

I'm an extremely picky eater, and I've found things to eat at Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree Tavern, Concourse Steakhouse, and Kona Cafe. Chef Mickey's has Mickey shaped ravioli. :) In my opinion, Le Cellier is way too expensive to chance it with a picky eater.

I am a picky eater as well. My father and I both try to avoid eating anything green but it is nearly impossible to go hungry at WDW no matter how picky you are. Of the places on your list I have been to Liberty Tree, Crystal Palace, and Ohanas. Crystal Palace buffet is great and has food for pretty much everyone. I haven't been to liberty tree in a while not sure what they have and if he likes fish then i'd say Ohanas is good. Other places I would suggest are Rose&Crown in epcot, great fish and chips or Prime Time Cafe in the studios, great meatloaf and can eat around the veggies.

That doesn't sound so picky, he has the all the "guy" food groups covered except beer.
