Starting with reservations booked on 12/1/08, Guests eating lunch at Tusker House between 1:00 pm and 1:40 pm will receive a reserved seating ticket for the 3:15 show of Finding Nemo: The Musical. Guests with reservations for times other than 1:00-1:40 will not receive a ticket to the show.

Guests will receive one ticket per seat and are encouraged to arrive at the Theater in the Wild 30 minutes prior to show time.

Does this mean if I have reservations for the 10th of December for 13:00 I can get the tickets? And if so how will that work? If this is true I'm super excited about it.:sohappy:

What I'm looking at says "starting with reservations booked 12/1/08 and beyond..." I'm not sure if that means that the reservation has to be booked on or after 12/1, or if it's for reservations occuring on or after 12/1.

Not shooting the messenger but just trying to make sense if this.

First off you don't need a "ticket" for the show. Seeing the show is free with admission to AK. Secondly if you arrive 30 minutes prior to the show you can get about any seat you wanted anyway. So I don't understand why they need this service. :veryconfu

 I found it odd, myself. I'm assuming that it will work sort of like the Fantasmic dinner package.

The real upside is probably going to be seat location. There will probably be a prime location roped off for ticket holders. Maybe bypassing the line also?

From the allears site: "If you are already booked during that time frame you will qualify for the reserved seating ticket."

DH and I saw the show back in October and while it's true that you can get good seats just by being at the theater 30 minutes before showtime, we did not have our choice of any seat in the house. The CMs were only allowing one or two sections at a time to be filled. We were lucky and got excellent seats. Some people in front of us wanted to be closer to the top and on the end of the row and they were not allowed to go up there until that section opened up.

It's also true that if you walk in about 5 minutes before the show starts you can squeeze in just about anywhere...including my favorite seat in the front row which is normally free. :animwink:

On most days, you don't need the Fantasmic package either, but it sells out nearly every night.

It's not so much about need as it is using a popular show to help fill up a restaurant at odd times.

I agree with the thought that this is a strange perk. I have seen the show several times and have managed to sit near the front with an excellent view almost every time. Still, why look a gift horse in the mouth (not that I would know what to do with a gift horse).

I agree, when we did the Fantasmic package we still had to be there way early, and I didn't think the seats were that great. I wanted to move more toward the middle, but we didn't. We used the DDP for it and would have eaten at the restaurant anyway, I probably wouldn't do the package again though.

Perhaps Tusker House isn't doing as well as they thought they were going to once they changed over to a character Meal.

Flametree Barbque, Yak and Yeti and Pizzafari are all great counter service places to dine so maybe Disney shot themselves in the foot when they changed Tuskerhouse over to a ADR only place and they feel the need to offer this benefit to get customers to eat there.

Just a thought

I have ADR for 12:45 on Dec. 9. If I ask real nice, do you think I can get in on this or should I call to see if I can change to 1:00?
