Just a note - It`s better to use several smaller memory cards than one big one (512mb is considered `smaller` nowerdays) - imagine loosing your card data (corruption, moisture, tech fault) - if this was your dream holiday you`d loose everything (especially if you hadn`t backed up onto CD).

Great point! And something that is sometimes not considered. It's exactly why I download daily to my lap top when on vacation, even if I could fit more onto my card. I also take blank cd's to burn them daily onto cd's, but I found myself content with having them saved on my computer and didn't burn daily (I was too tired after a long day full of fun in the parks!). If I didn't have a lap top, or the ability to back up my photos, then it'd be off to Walgreens (or the WDW photo labs) for me. I'd be pretty mad if I lost my pictures.

On a side note, some friends of mine took their 4 year old last August for the first time. They happened to be there during Charley. They had their lap top plugged in to recharge and a power surge killed the computer. They lost all of the pictures from their first several days. Last I heard, the computer techs at Best Buy were working on it, but I don't know if there was any success. Needless to say, they weren't happy. Another reason to back up on cd.
