Difficulty of snagging a refurbished POP room

I apologize if this has been asked already but I was just curious if anyone has been reporting on their experience requesting the updated rooms.

I'm going down in July and figured I should add in the request but I know it's not a guarantee.

I think only one building is done so far, so that's only 10% of all rooms. Chances are slim, but not impossible.

I think you are on the right track. I would add it as a request. It couldn't hurt to ask. I really like the look of the new rooms. I've said this a million times but I'm not fond of the wall color but everything else looks like a home run. IMO a much better use of the space plus I think Murphy beds are cool. If you do get a refurbed room in July come back and let us know your thoughts and share some pics!

Yeah I figure it won't hurt to ask. It's totally a great use of the space + queen beds which is awesome. I'm going solo so I'll have plenty of room with that bed out of the way. I actually preferred the old color scheme. From the photos the new wall color looks white and meh, but also clean.

I'll be sure to take some photos and let you all know how it goes.

We checked in yesterday and they said we could checkin earlier if we wanted a different building. We decided to stick with the 90s. We had to wait till around 4:30, but got a room in the 90s on the 2nd floor. It's a walk to main hall, but we're happy with it.

We just got back from a 7 night stay in a renovated room. I had requested the 90's online and had no issues getting the request. I did go by the front desk before we were assigned a room and made sure they had my request showing. We loved the new rooms. I did not think the walk to Classic Hall or the buses were bad if you cut through the parking lot.

Thank you for your report. I feel a little better about my chances because my flight won't get in until midnight. The guests who arrive early and want to check-in early won't have a lot to pick from so I'm sure it frees up a lot of rooms/requests to be honored, which is nice. 4:30 isn't too bad though. I think the actual "official" check-in time is 3PM but it's definitely worth waiting a little longer to get what you want.

Thank you for the feedback. I hope I get to experience the new rooms.
