I don't drink any more than a dozen sodas/year - pretty much only at the movie theatre.
I wish you good luck! Diet soda really isn't any better than regular soda. It's all very bad for you. Good on you for making a wise decision.
I'm with you and divorced diet soda in favor of boring but harmless seltzer water months ago. If you need any more reasons to quit diet soda, see this article on what it does to your body in just one hour:

I wish I could eliminate my one regular cola per day, but I only have so many vices in my life right now.![]()
OK, I just realized my posts ares not being helpful to the OP.![]()
Thank you! I admire your accomplishment! Oddly enough, lime is also helping me through this. I've been slicing up a whole lime and putting it in my water and it makes it so much more enjoyable than just plain old water.Good luck with giving up the soda. I gave up Diet Coke for a whole year after I realized I was drinking about 4 a day. At the end of the year we were on a trip to WDW and I wanted something carbonated so I let myself have a Diet Coke. I hadn't really missed it until then. Now I am not as strict to say no soda ever but I average 1 maybe a month, more like 1 every two months. When we are on vacation I let myself have it whenever I want.
I mostly drink seltzer or club soda, often with a lime wedge. It is more refreshing than Diet Coke and I tell myself that because of the lime I'm getting Vitamin C too!On a semi-side not when I was in Disneyland Paris in June bottled sparkling water cost maybe 10 cents more than soda at all of the carts, quick service and table service restaurants. I really enjoyed having that option. When I went to DL in California a week or so ago I hoped they would have the sparkling water too and I had just missed it on previous visits. They didn't have it, and I really missed it and ended up drinking soda. Although if the restaurant had a bar then they had club soda!

I do strongly suggest putting lime in the seltzer or club soda, especially if you like a little carbonation to your drink. I just had some with lunch.![]()
