I visited EPCOT once a year. Recently October 2010, October 2011 times 2:animwink:. Then February 2012 and March 2012:sohappy:. I noticed a big change especially in the queues line on how "clean" and in working order the "test procedures" compared to the October 2010 visit. I remember the first visit to Test Track in 99 being in the car repair business I was very impressed by how much detail they put into educating the consumer about the "latest" safety and technology that goes into the cars and trucks. I remember all the test periodically going off, my favorite is the "knee calibration" I think Disney really had to sell the idea to Chevy to keep the sponsorship alive by doing a little clean up. I'm wonder if anyone else noticed this? I'm glad this change is going to happen; I can't wait to see the advancements they have for us. I will miss Bill Mckim and ordering test #7 and allowing the assistant to "Pick One". In the last visit in March got to ride 5 more times to get my Test Track fix before it closed for the renovation. “Hey, Thanks for being such a great test crew, come back and ride anytime…bye now.:ROFLOL:

Disney didn't sell the ride or the idea to Chevrolet, GM has sponsored the ride since it opened, and is now switching the sponsorship from the main company (GM) to one of its specific brands (Chevrolet).

Conversely last October I was disappointed in how bad shape the preshow exhibits were. Nothing was animated in the Fastpass area, over the course of a fortnights visit. The assembly line rear projection had been broke for at least a year. Broken ride robots and second version of the crash test added a feeling of lack of attention.

Then whatcha know... They replaced the preshow CRTs for flat screens with just a few months left of use...
