Called to book my daughter's BBB appointment for the morning of her birthday. We have a breakfast ADR at Akershus for 8:15. They told me to allow for an hour travel time between parks so she would not let me book an appointment any earlier than 10:55. Seems a little extreme to me. I understand buses and monorail may break down and all but an hour for travel between Parks? They told my Mom the same thing when she made all of our ADRs.

Relax and don't sweat it!:) Just enjoy and if you are too early just take a spin on the carosel! Besides you may spend more time eating and interacting with the princesses because of the birthday!:)

An hour travel time tends to be an almost worst case scenario, but it can be the reality a good bit more than you think. I drive and I still use the one hour travel time rule. Most of the time I am 15-30 minutes early, but there have been enough times where even the hour was not long enough.

that sounds abour right though. if you are seated by 815, you probably wont leave norway until after 930 by the time you meet all of the princesses. we ususally figure 90 minutes for a character meal. even if you are faster (and lets say it only takes 45 minutes to walk out, get the monorail to TTC, then the express monrail to MK, and then wait to get in at MK) you are still only at BBB by 1015. I know it sounds easy, but you never know with transporation and it would really stink to rush the character experience then be late for BBB if you wanted it earlier. space it out and enjoy the day. your daughter will love it!!!

I have had some near meltdown moments in dealing with transportation...

If anything, the BBB people must have had many experiences with this type of situation... and people who arrive later can't be told, 'sorry, you missed your appointment', so everything gets backed up...

This way, you relax more, can take your time getting from Norway to the front of the park and then over to MK... better to be early than running frantically yelling, 'hurry! we're on vacation and need to get somewhere NOW!'
