Did Eminem lip sync?

Okay, so I was watching SNL... and there is this one part that I keep rewinding and freeze framing... I could swear he was lip syncing. He starts to mouth vocals, but he stops, but the vocals continue. Im not sure if it was his backup, but I dont think it was. I need to rip it to digital video...

ya know, i think there's quite a few lip sync-ers on SNL. seems like i remember a few performances that sounded exactly like the recorded version (can't remember which artists though). i wouldn't be surprised at all if he was lip syncing.
i hate lip syncing...especially with rap (even though i don't really listen to that genre). i mean, doesn't it just defeat the whole purpose of performing live? i could understand if the singer had a cold or something, but still. the way i see it, if a person can't perform live for whatever reason, then they shouldn't get out on stage at all. didn't mean to go off on a bit of a tangent, but it seemed like a good opportunity. ;)

I just don't get it, especially after the whole thing last week.

At any rate, I'm still not sure if it's a background track or not. He sings the first "Oh Baby" and then gets ready to sing the second "Oh Baby" but doesn't, yet the vocals come through. Backup or background vocals? I don't know. But I've ripped it to WMV format.
