Diamond Parking?

This whole "Take the tram or walk?" thing is actually more of an issue lately. Disney is running fewer trams. When it isn't busy, you might sit there on the tram for ten minutes or more waiting for it to go to the park (or the TTC, in the MK lot.)

If you spent that ten minutes walking, you'd beat the tram to the front of the park. I do it a lot.
Ive been reading alot of posts on here talking about the transportation being a little late so i figured a little more walking isnt going to kill me. Also what is the TTC?

Ok cool i thought it was for onsite resort guests only.
There is also a boat from Hollywood Studios to Epcot and back and to the Epcot resorts. You can ride that if you want to. It's about a 30 minute ride since it stops at several resorts on the way. It also takes you to the Boardwalk. We took it just to walk around and see the resorts on it's route.

It will be crowded that week because of the Food and Wine Festival, so I strongly recommend that you be at the park as soon as it opens and head for the rides you want to ride the most. If you are there at opening, you will be able to ride most of the long wait rides before the parks start to fill-up. We came home yesterday, and the Magic Kingdom was more crowded than it was in June. It was extremely hot also. If you want help planning which park to go to each day and what to ride first and what to fastpass, let me know, and I'll be glad as will many others on here to advise you on how to make the most of your time.
I didnt know about the food and wine festival either is that at Epcot? And yes i would love the help i want to make my 5 day experience as enjoyable as i can. Im arriving in Florida on this Friday and i have a 5 day magic your way ticket it is me and my girl were both 23 so were still sort of young so no kids on this trip. I want to ride as many rides as possible at each park so i will wake up early and get there when gates open. Also were getting there this Friday around 1pm should we go ahead and do a park that day or save that for another day. We will be in florida for 12 days btw.

Thats something to think about doing while were there if we have time

Were do you park to go to downtown disney? Im staying offsite if that matters at all.
If you're driving, then you should just drive there. It's a free public shopping, eating area. It's on Hotel Plaza Blvd.
Once you pay to park at any Disney park, you can come and go the rest of that day. You can even change parks. You just have to keep your receipt to show at the next park.
Since you haven't done this in a while, you will need to have park hopper added to your ticket if you plan to visit more than one park in a day.

Okay. Your time starts as soon as you enter the first time. You don't have to go consecutive days, but you must use the days within, I believe it's 14 days. It may have changed to 10. If you have 12 days, I would't waste the first day on a partial day. I would use that day to go to Downtown Disney.

Were staying in Kissimme about 3 miles from the park it says. Then were staying at the beach the other half of the stay and decided if we want to do a park one of those days we would drive a hour and half to the park.

Also what is the TTC?

TTC is an acronym for the Ticket and Transportation Center. When you park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, the trams will take you to the TTC. At the TTC you have the option of buying park tickets if you don't already have them. You can also board the monorail at the TTC. The express monorail will take you directly to the Magic Kingdom. The resort monorail will stop at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, and Contemporary. A third monorail line will take you to Epcot from the TTC. Or you can board a ferry at the TTC which takes you across the Seven Seas Lagoon to the Magic Kingdom.

Thank you sounds like the resort monorail would be cool to check out all of the resorts while heading to MK.

The day you go to Magic Kingdom, I wouldn't go on a Sunday. I would go straight to Space Mountain first. The wait at opening will be minimal. It might say 20 or 30 minutes, but in our experience, it's only 10 or less. If you really like it and want to do it again, I would get a fastpass when you get off. If you don't feel you want to do it again, then save the fastpass for another ride. I would then go to Frontierland and ride either Big Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain. They are side by side. If you don't want to get wet, I recommend you save Splash for later in the evening and use fastpass. If you didn't fastpass Space, and Big Thunder has a long wait--it shouldn't this early-- then fastpast Big Thunder. When you finish either or both of these two, I would go to the Haunted Mansion. The queue is usually pretty fast even when long. Next, I would go to Adventureland and do Pirates of the Caribbean. By this time, if you had to fastpass to anything, it will be time to go do that ride. Your fastpass will have a time when you can get another fastpass. Make sure and watch for that time and get another fastpass for something else you may be interested in doing. We always fastpass Jungle Cruise. Once you've done Space, Splash, Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Jungle Cruise the rest is icing on the cake. The "kiddie" rides are really enjoyable also, but for two 23 year-olds, I would save them for last. Mickey's Philarmagic is a must do. Pooh and Peter Pan and Small World are fun. Unless we get there really early or it's not a crowded day, we fastpass Peter Pan and Pooh. We never fastpass Small World. Buzz if fun, but nothing like Toy Story Mania over in Hollywood Studios. If you like nostalgia, then Carosel of Progress is also a must. We did it three times last week. We finally rode the Riverboat. That one is fine, but not one I want to do again. You can do the Peoplemover at any time. There is never a long wait. Remember to use the fastpass as often as you can. It will tell you on the fp when you can get another. You will have a one-hour window in which to do the ride. You can come back at any time during that hour.
I would go to the Disney World official website and look at the park maps. Get familiar with where each land is located. MK is basically a circle. There are several cut throughs that will help save time. When you get to the end of Main Street by the ice cream parlor turn right and take that path to Tomorrowland. Turn right again at the end of the path by The Laugh Floor (another good one for evening). You will be in the area where Space Mountain is located. It's to the right after you pass the Astro Orbiter loading station.
Don't hesitate to ask any cm (worker) how to find something. It will save you tons of time. Once you been around the park once, you will understand the layout.
I have to go right now, but I'll get back on tomorrow and tell you what I'd do for the other three parks.

So i have to ride the monorail from the magic kingdom parking area to get to the park? Does that cost anything?
When you park at the MK, you first go to the TTC. Most people take the tram. If you arrive fist thing, way before opening, you won't get a tram because you'll be parked close to the TTC. If you go throu with the AAA pass, you'll also be walking to the TTC. If you can tram it, do that the first time.

When you arrive at the TTC, there are two ways to get from there to the MK. You can take the ferry, which goes ONLY to the MK. You can also take a monorail. If you opt for the monorail, be sure that you do NOT get on the one marked EPCOT. There are two different lines for two different monorails. The one for Epcot runs to Epcot and back. The other one will take you to the MK. I learned this the hard way the first time I got on the monorail. :)

It really is much easier than it sounds. And MK is the only park that takes this long and is this big a hassle to enter.

The busses, boats, monorails and ferries at Disney are all free.

If you're in a WDW hotel, you'll get to the MK much quicker and easier by bus. Everywhere else, it is quicker and easier to drive.

We did not buy a package, just tickets and asked for one and got it. They said they get a limited number of them. There is usually no tram service in the diamond parking. Best to use it at EP, AK, and DS. MK is a pretty far walk. The others have it right up front. AK is very limited in spaces available. DS is right up behind the disabled parking. EP is just behind the motorcycle parking.
