Diamond Horseshoe

Just read on Touringplans.com that you can book reservations at the Diamond Horseshoe at the MK. I went on line and snagged a reservation for August 25. I thought others might be interested.

Wait...what!??! Diamond horseshoe hasn't been used for anything for quite sometime? Last 3 things I've seen it as..

1) A meet & Greet with Jessie, Woody & Bullseye
2) A small eating establishment with sandwiches
3) A trick or treat station during MNSSHP

Perhaps you were reffering to The Hoop De Do Review at Fort Wilderness?

No, it's Diamond Horseshoe. I booked someone an ADR there last night. They sometimes open it for another table service option during exceptionally busy times. They did it at Easter, and it's open for some amount of time during free dining.:)

This is reposted from AllEars.net - I think it was posted last year but I'm sure it still applies.

The Diamond Horseshoe in the Magic Kingdom is currently serving lunch from 11am to 4pm during the busy President’s week. Premade sandwiches, a Caesar Salad, and drinks are available. I asked a cast member if this was a permanent arrangement and I was told that this venue would be used occasionally throughout the year during busy times. The Disney Dining Plan is accepted here.

I thought that i saw somewhere that Diamond Horseshoe was going to be a family style restaurant with the same menu as LTT.

Per Disney's Website:
Please note that The Diamond Horseshoe is only open seasonally, from August 16 to October 3, 2009.

Located in Frontierland, The Diamond Horseshoe is a fun, quick-service eatery during lunch and a Casual Dining restaurant serving all-you-care-to-eat American dishes during dinner service.

At lunch, Guests can select from a menu of sandwiches (such as barbecue turkey and a meatball sub for adults; turkey or PB&J for children) and sides, including a fruit cup and potato chips.

During the all-you-care-to-eat dinner service, share mouth-watering, family-style platters of Saloon Salad (tossed mixed greens with strawberry vinaigrette dressing) and fare from the Ranchhand's Feast (roasted turkey breast, carved beef and smoked pork loin with sides of seasonal vegetables, herb bread stuffing and macaroni and cheese) served by a friendly staff dressed in Liberty Tree costumes. Beverages include soft drinks, coffee, iced tea and milk, with bottled water available for an additional charge.

Mosey on down for some mighty fine vittles!
