Probably just a seasonal thing, and the menu doesn't look too inspired, but it is nice to have another table service option in the MK while it lasts.

Well that's kind of good news. I saw a DISboards podcast that was pretty favorable. They mentioned it's really popular but was probably only going to be open until July 4th. This makes it look like it's been a real success will be open til mid September at least.

Table service is so limited at MK it would be nice to have some more permanent variety.

The BEST case scenario, of course, would be if they brought back the Diamond Horseshoe Revue, but that seems unlikely.

Fun story about that- there was a point in the show where the hostess would go around, find some guy who was wearing a hat while eating, yank it off, and then kiss the top of his bald head. Because if a guy is wearing a hat inside at the dinner table, the odds are he ain't got much up there. So, we're eating there, the hostess comes up to my be-hatted father, and yanks it off, only to be stunned at his incredibly full head of hair (obviously, that trait skipped a generation, as you can no doubt tell by my avatar pic). She said, "You're a tricky one!" and went to find someone else.

I wonder if the food has improved now it is served as a family style platter? Easy WDW reported the food to be awful a couple of months ago.

I've heard the same thing. I did eat there years ago when they did a seasonal opening and the food wasn't bad it was just OK.

I suspect they won't bring back the show here as it would risk impacting the desire of guests to pay to see the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue.

Thoughts on Diamond Horseshoe ADR? I just scheduled a quick Labor Day weekend trip to see MSEP before it's gone. So this was available so took it. Not looking to go out of my way spending on this trip.

Sorry for stupid question .. Is this similar serving style to the Garden Grill? Cant find much info or pictures on this restaurant. From what I have seen, vegetarian and children options will be limited? Need to use up one table service using dining plan but struggling.

So something about this menu (even the pics on the disney website) just does not appeal to me. For something like this I would much rather take the boat over to WL for some whispering canyon!
