Diagon Alley - need a 2 park ticket?

Man I so wish this would have been open for HHN. They could have stuck a deal where it was HP character only and turned it into a lat book 6 early book 7 feel. I would be terrified to have death eaters, dementors, and Voldemort running around. Missed opportunity if I do say so myself.

The need for a ticket to ride is a money grab. Yes it will be back either way but at DL the monorail goes to different places and you can ride it for free no issue. I was a little disappointed because we already did Hogsmeade and didn't necessarily want to do a Uni park hopper just to ride the train. We will cough it up thought and pay the 40.

The DL monorail only goes into one park, and you need a ticket for that park to ride it.

Interesting. I don't remember have my ticket scanned when I did it. Of course that was 10 years ago so I was a teenager. I stand correct. You definitely don't need one to ride the MK monorail though.

Would not be missing a bet if they had ticket booths at the stations to offer an upgrade. Have not seen that on any of the videos though. I think changing to a one ticket both parks pricing model would go down easier. I don't care, I got the maxi pass for the valet parking so it is park to park and a much better deal than WDW $500 pass that I had for the last two years.
It has been reported in multiple places that one can upgrade at the attraction. So those concerned about being ripped off can wait to decide if they must ride.

Because it doesn't take you directly into MK (or any other park.)

The Monorail at Disneyland is a ride.

The Monorail at Disney World is a mode of public transportation vital to that resorts operation.

At Disneyland they scan your park tickets at the entrance to the Downtown Disney Monorail station. So if you don't leave and or re enter that station, you will never encounter a ticket check point.

That would explain why I don't remember a ticket scan. Like I said it was 10 years and I know WDW much better than I know DL. Also I haven't seen the train at Universal for myself so when I first heard about it I kind of assumed they would have it run past park boundaries but still act as transportation much like the WDW monorail and boats system. I see now that it is less a means of transportation and more an attraction that just so happens to get you from one park to the next and in that situation it does make sense to have a 2 park ticket.
