Cant quite remember who, but I am almost positive a member of the boards said the complaints against the show were huge. The mommies and daddies don't want their kid exposed to anything that isn't "Magical Princess Frozen Disney Fun! The worst part is Disney is catering to that by convincing the public that Disney is only about gooey moments and happy faces.

I could see them doing something scary one year and then canceling it due to complaints from parents who ignored the warning labels and took their kid anyway. Somehow convinced that scary things are just too UNDisney.

Ugh, I hope not. If its true then those parents can take their complains and... I won't go further. lol

I wonder how many years Universal's Horror Nights had to weather outraged parents' complaints before people finally got the message about what the event was about.

Also, some of the complaints directed at Villains Unleashed may have been because it was strange and sensual, not just scary and not "for kids".

Personally I thought the funhouse was great. It was strange, dark and something totally different from Disney. Different as in something not seen in a while.

Disney couldn't even have those poop-shaped snacks without complaints.

One problem with the Universal Halloween events is capacity. Those mazes are much lower capacity than attractions. To do an event like than and maintain a positive experience (something Universal arguably fails to do based on wait times) would require a much lower attendance cap than Disney would need to make the event worth their while, I would think.
