Okay, for some reason this question popped in my mind and I wanted to share! Here are circumstances:

- You have only 4 hours.
- It is 92 degrees outside with scattered thunderstorms.
- You're with someone who hates thrill rides and someone who loves them.
- DINOSAUR is closed and so is Star Tours.
- There are heavy crowds at AK but lighter crowds at DHS.
- The highest recorded wait at DHS is 90 minutes for TSMM and 70 at AK for EE.
- You're allowed one fastpass due to time.

So, with the given circumstances, would you spend your short time at DHS or AK?

I just thought this would be kind of fun! :D (can this be moved to general discussion?)

AK.
Fastpass-everest.
Thrill riders can enjoy ride Everest, while the non thrill ride person can enjoy primeval whirl, Kilimanjaro Safaris, River Rapids, and the LK show.

Disney Hollywood Studios.

DINOSAUR's a make-it or break-it for me. It's one of my favorite rides in all of Walt Disney World and one of the only things I'll do at Animal Kingdom. It being closed really puts a damper on my day there and is a big discouragement for me.

The thrill-seeker and I would ride Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster countless times, we'd all use FastPass for Toy Story Mania, and we'd enjoy the various other stuff located at the park with the easy-goer, such as Muppet Vision 3D and The Great Movie Ride. We should be good for four hours.

I'd always pick DAK over DHS.

DHS is just not for me. The only things I like to do there are eat at Primetime Cafe or Brown Derby (grapefruit cake!!!) and walk down Sunset Boulevard and pretend the giant moon bounce hat is not still there.

There are no rides or attractions I like at DHS. It is a half-day park for me.

DAK is my favorite Disney park anywhere. I just love almost everything about it, except for Chester & Hester's.

I agree, DAK gets a lot of beating up due to lack of attractions, but it really is one of the most immersively themed and beautiful parks out there. Especially Africa and Asia, those two parts are outstandingly well themed.

Though I'd still rather spend those 4 hours at DHS! ;)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I also voted for DHS.
We're not into the "shows", so DAK is strictly: KS, EE, ITTBAB, KRR (if we feel like getting wet), Dinosaur, some shopping, and out before the heat and humidity become unbearable.
We've never even eaten here, although we finally plan to this year.

AK, but it's close.

Even with heavy crowds, the animal trails and counter service restaurants alone are usually enough for 4 hours. Plus Kali in 92 degree heat doesn't sound too bad.

That...and I love Star Tours. A trip to DHS without it would just be depressing.

The ONLY reason to be in AK under conditions like those is the natural shade and shelter available there.

Which isn't all bad depending on how hot it is.

What do you mean, "scattered thunderstorms?" That sounds like a forecast. Is it raining or not? If there are thunderstorms, I'm not going to the park.

If it isn't raining, I'm going wherever they decide they want to go. I'd rather not pick. If I MUST pick, we are all going to the AK.
