DHS not alone for much longer?

Am I the only one that sees the writing on the wall? DHS is a great new name change for the park-formerly-known-as-MGM Studios.. but what about DCA? I believe, with the entire 're-theme of each land' in dca, and the additional of 'movie' based attractions, including Little Mermaid, TSMM, etc... That the grand-plan is to change the park from DCA to DHSW (DHS West) .. That, of course, may not be the name, but thats what I think is going on ultimately ...

Any one else?

I have heard the name "Disney's Hollywood" as in Walt Disney the man not the company.

The underlying storeyline as I understand it, is to honor his legacy from the time he moved to California right until today. Whereas Disneyland is more a nostalgic look back at Walt's childhood dreams, DCA will be "forward looking" and reflect his life as an adult and how his legacy has evolved. That is how Carsland and Pixar fit in IMO. A case can be be made that they are, in a sense, part of his legacy.

So how do Paradise Pier, Radiator Springs, Golden State (you know with the big bear mountain?), Pacific Warf etc all tie in with "Hollywood", "Studios" etc? Doesn't seem like very good speculation too me, especially since the "fun map" depiction of the completed project still calls it DCA. There was talk of changing it to "Walt Disney's California Adventure" by Mice Age staff but I believe that fell thorugh.

I don't see it, honestly--there is too much DCA that they are keeping to make that switch. It would make for a theme park with an even less cohesive theme than DHS...

DCA will not change it's name to anything involving Hollywood. Not gonna happen.
DHS, however....could drop the "S" eventually. I have heard tell of that being a vague possibility.

The parks in question are suffering from many maladies ... the names (even though I dislike them both) aren't even in the top 25.

And I doubt you'll see any changes to either park ...

My understanding of DCA's rebranding was that it would be WDCA, making it Walt's California Adventure, with California back in Walt's day.

The entrance plaza is to be renamed Buena Vista Street. Hollywood Pictures Backlot is to be renamed Hollywoodland. I don't think the name will change as it still embodies what the park is about Disney's California Adventure, meaning, what Walt would have encountered when he first arrived in California.
