As D23 nears with rumors of a DHS makeover announcement becoming ever more unlikely, let's at least see what our armchair imagineers can think of as far as a DHS makeover goes and a budget of $1.5 billion.
The goal of said makeover is to fix flaws with the park's current design, introduce new attractions (including at least one E ticket), fix infrastructure problems, define the park icon, expand and allow for future expansion, replace any lost parking spots, better connect the park with the rest of WDW, provide a direct link to the EPCOT resorts and EC, update current attractions, etc.
Rules:
- Current Reedy Creek Future Land Use Plan will be the final say on any new developments on virgin land.
- Judges shall calculate known costs of similar project elements, adjusted for inflation, to calculate candidate spending. Dual use sub-projects shall apply a discount that would be calculated by the judges.
- Proposals shall be judged on creativity, practicality, overall value, and overall future revenue potential.
Who wants to judge? Who wants to be a contestant?
