Visiting the old Hollywood Studios in the past there was always classic movie themes playing in the main plaza by the Grauman's courtyard - has this continued to this day?

I was going to say, third week of Sept, I don't remember hearing any movie music playing in the plaza in front of the old GMR.

A couple of different loops in question with playlists where available- please correct if this is wrong:

1. Hollywood Boulevard loop, played along the main drag between the gates and the former Sorcerers Hat plaza
2. Early MGM main entrance music, 1989-2000
3. Great Movie Ride Exterior music, 2005-2016? more movie themes (Including Trolley Song)
4. Center Stage Music - currently playing in the courtyard, big band (Sing, Sing, Sing, etc.)
5. New entrance/Hollywood Blvd/Great Movie Ride music, big band Disney classics

Also, Echo Lakes old film score playlist was also swapped out, it is similar in big band style but unique from the Center Stage music. Grand Ave also has a playlist similar to style to these (it may be the same). EDIT: Grand Ave is more jazzy, uptemo music (think street band)

I'm on the fence about this. I like the feeling of old Hollywood with instrumental music of the era. But I also miss singing The Trolley Song. At least I get to still sing the latter on Main Street.

The new loops are well done. I was skeptical at first but they work really well and help with the transition between sections. The hollywood blvd loop & Echo lake are major improvements from the old loops.

This was replaced last January with big band recordings of Disney tracks. IIRC there’s a thread about it somewhere. I *think* this also plays around the hub area too.

Thread here...

Sadly when Disney abandons an attraction they scrub all remnants of it out. As they move onto something different, they want you to move on too. At least its nice to see the autograph blocks are remaining in place... until someone decides....
