DHS Dinner Suggestions

We're going to be on a HS choir trip in a couple weeks and we're looking to plan a dinner on the day we are in DHS.

The charperones who are Disney nuts are trying to show the Director what's good about WDW, including some good eats. She's been to 50's Prime Time, and all agree that we don't want to go to Sci-Fi.

Where would you recommend? Why or why not?

Thanks for the help!

It's to bad she's already done the 50's Prime Time as that is my favorite. Sci Fi was ok but to me an overpriced hamburger joint.

This year we did Mama Melarose's which was alright but nothing to say this is a super great place.

I've heard the Brown Derby is good, but we haven't tried it yet as to me the menu didn't look that kids friendly at least for our kids so we have avoided it.

As to Hollywood and Vine it's a buffet and my wife and myself didn't like it, though the kids did.

I would say if you don't want to do 50's again then I would try Mama Melerose's

Its a good thing you're all skipping Sci-Fi. We ate there 2 years in a row and I just don't like it. It rubs me the wrong way I guess. I do like the set-up of the atmosphere, but the menu stinks!

I do like Mama Melrose, and I know others might disagree. It is a very good restaurant with good food. I also love 50's Prime Time. Great theming, alotta fun and interaction, and great food.

Mama Melrose is very good and so is Hollywood n' Vine. There you can get a dinner seating and priority seating at Fantasmic, if they still offer that. 50's Prime Time was delicious and a lot of fun.

I must say that I didn't like the food at the Brown Derby. The place was awesome looking and the waitstaff was great but what I ordered was not worth the $ or good tasting. It was their signature Cobb Salad and was mushy and unappetizing.
