DHS Crowds and Fewer Attractions

Last month I tried to make fastpass selections for Toy Story Mania 30 days out for the date of October 19th and nothing was available for the whole day. It made me think. Now that American Idol is closed and the Backlot Tour is closed, what picks up the slack. If the rumors are true and Lights Motor Action is closed, can they still accommodate the same number of guests?

I can't see them closing LMA until something else is up and running. I know the super rushed incredibly disappointing Frozen show eats a lot of people though. And that show is on eight or nine times per day.

The guests that would have been going to those closed attractions will wander around looking at wait times and jump in anything that seems to have the shorter waits making longer lines. The more popular attractions will all get longer standby lines. There will be more guests wandering aimlessly through the streets, looking for something to do to pass the time. The shops will have more browsing guests, the snack carts will make more sales. The buildings will remain sitting as empty shells. Same old .. same old.

So, my thread is more relevant because of the fastpass+ test at Toy Story Mania. If I couldn't get fastpasses for it 30 days out during October then what about Christmas or Summer? Basically, if you are not staying on property, you can't ride the ride. This affects locals, annual passholders, and cast members.
