I'll take that, but we're done run out of World of Motion animatronics. ;)

They still have two complete sets of unused Country Bears.... Maybe the tiny port town will be overrun with Bears?

 That poor little light fixture... I love how their is a crowd staring at it in astonishment. I know when I'm at WDW i'm having so much fun that I don't have time to notice holes, light bulbs, etc. -Stephanie

I'm not saying this will happen, and I wouldn't want the entire ride based on the movie, but I'd kill to have a Captain Jack Sparrow animatronic sword fighting Captain Barbossa in Pirates of the Caribbean. Perhaps if the last scene was redone. The looting the treasury scene doesn't quite work anyway... even Marc Davis said it didn't quite work. If that scene was converted into a cave, they could keep all the treasure there, and have them fighting. :)

You know...

Bondo costs about $12.00 a gal...

and only takes about 10 - 12 min to do.

(I guess we can't fit it into maint's heavy schedule OR the budget for at least two years!)

HERE!
I'll donate my time and money!

Oh man.....I hope not...then what would be next Eddie Murphy in The Haunted Mansion

Well POTC was an awesome film. I think the ride should have changes to reflect it. And come on, I know its a classic but it really does need updating.

As for Haunted Mansion it really was wide of the mark. After seeing it, I mentioned to a friend that I would have rather sat on the ride for an hour and a half then sit through the movie again, so this shouldn't be updated. I think if they tried putting Eddie Murphy in there, there'd be mass protests in Liberty Square.

My take is like this: If you can't see the hole, then it's not an issue. In fact, it's probably not even that Disney is letting things fall apart, but somebody who thought it'd be funny to throw something at the scenery, and put a hole into it.

If you can't see the hole without a flash camera, it's no big deal, since you're not supposed to be taking flash pictures anyway.

It'd be like somebody saying: "There is a small paint chip in the back door of mission space. Only cast members can see it, but now the whole ride isn't the same" We really need to get some perspective or we're on our way to becoming like Disney Blues.

Brad, once again, spoken like a true genius. Thanks for the input of which I agree 100%.

Oh? The way I said it wasn't good enough for you? ;)

Anyways, Brad nailed it. The amount of threads relating to articles akin to this is bordering on being OCBish.

I thought this was the opening for the new ride/photo op!! You know, when you come off the ride and they rail you into a gift shop and photo opputunity....:D Like others have said, without a flash camera, you wouldn't know it's there!
