Did you know that you do not have to get dessert from the quick serve area? Most of the items have been the same for years, so at the check out counter just tell the CM you wish to get your desert from the ice cream area. They will stamp your receipt and you can go and get a ice cream Sunday, malt, milk shake or any of the other selections they have. This is a great option then always getting the pre made cakes etc.

Thank you for the info. That was a question I had and couldn't find an answer to. Does that work at all QS in any of the parks?

Good question. Most of the ice cream offerings would be higher on the cost scale than the parfaits and dry brownies I recall being offered at most QS.

Yeah, definitely makes sense in the food courts, where you can put together an a la carte meal that complies with the DDP, using just about anything.

But the QS locations in the parks pretty much only stock the items on the menu. Unless they specifically sell ice cream (and I can't think of any off the top of my head), they wouldn't be able to make this accommodation.

Right. The rules are pretty broad at the food courts. Anything that looks like a dessert usually counts as a dessert, on the DDP. You can load a tray up pretty good and have it count as a QS meal.
