Dessert on DDP at lunch question

Hi, a newbie here, I thought I read somewhere if you are on the DDP and don't want dessert at lunch that you would be given a snack voucher. Does anyone know if this true? This would be great because most of the time I can't eat dessert right after a meal but it would be nice to be able to have it a couple of hours later.

Unless that's a recent addition, I'd say no. The DDP pays for what you get at the time. If you don't order dessert, you're just costing them less...

There have been a number of changes recently, so I could be wrong

I don't think you can do that. But you could order something that can be taken to go, and eat it later.
Yeah, I've seen a lot of people on here say that they took the dessert with them, again I've heard nothing about exchanging for a snack voucher....

I've never heard that either. My plan, since I'm in the same boat as you as far as dessert with lunch, is to eat at places that have a cookie or something portable as dessert, to save for later.

You may be able to con them into giving you a Dasini water instead of a dessert?

For instance, you could order a milk-shake for dessert at the 50's Drive-In. I had a Coke for my drink and the Shake for dessert. I wasn't able to order a shake for my beverage though, so who knows.

Yeah, just pack your dessert to-go. If necessary, bring a couple of little Ziploc bags with you, in case yourdessert is something like a cookie that can get all broken up and crumby just wrapped in a napkin (and I'm sure you wouldn't want to walk around with a little styrofoam package all day, y'know?)
