Dentist update?

my dentist went to WDW over Spring Break (last week) and has come back with things she has 'heard' from cm's....now i'm not saying she's made some of this stuff up, but it doens't make sense to me...so i'm hoping you all can clear it up.

she and her family stayed at the-resort-formerly-known-as-Dixie Landings. she says that they only had a few buildings open because the crowds were so small (she said that the parking lots only had a few cars here and there). she also said that they were expecting to close Alligator Bayou down for a while because the tree roots were starting to mess up the sewer system, and that they were going to have to go through and totally redo the landscaping....has anyone else heard this?

also, she noticed the barricade around the hat at MGM (which of course we all knew was there) she apparently asked a cm about it, and she claims he/she told her that they were taking the hat down....now i KNOW what i've seen in the pictures on this site, and it looks to me that there's no sign at all of them taking it down. so i'm not getting #1. why the cm told her that and #2. why she didn't see the changes being made under the hat....can someone here maybe explain?

It's the more rustic section(rooms I think have log looking beds and stuff)of PO:RS.

I'd have to agree the stuff your dentist told you doesn't really fit. I can believe the landscaping prob but I've nver heard about it before. Who knows(shrugs )....

When I was there in early rch thre was a wall but I thought they were just redoing the "100 years" stuff. They are also redoing GMR so the wall basically took care of 2 things at once.

Well, we all know how rumours spread and misinformation breeds in dark corners! I'm sure your dentist isn't up to any mischief; she must have either drawn her own conclusions from the state of the parking lots at Port Orleans and the barrier around the hat, or simply asked the wrong person.

We were at MGM on Sunday night for Fantasmic, and the wall had been brought down around the hat, and there was no sign of them taking the hat down.
I do not know about the POR rumors, but the parks were packed.
