Deluxe Dining plan question

Since several people were getting all over me about "gaming the system" and getting me worried, I called Disney directly and spoke with a cm just now in the dining section and was told yes it is ok to share my DDP points with others, it is not against the rules, and I am not gaming the system. Sharing of points is allowed. In case anyone else was wondering. As to it not being economical, even if we have to pay OOP for adult CS meals, it will only be a few so it won't matter that much. We will still save money.
Well, there you have it. It's "OK" to use your "non-transerable" DDDP credits to pay for someone else's meal.

The reason some of us expressed concern is that Disney just cracked down on something similar regarding FP+. And the dining plans did mention not allowing transfer. We didn't want you to get stuck with cash dining bills you weren't expecting.

But good to know that Disney allows the sharing of credits....they need to make that clear in the literature for the dining plans.

Glad it worked out for you.

Exactly. And to add to this, we weren't trying to flame you.. just didn't want you to make a very expensive mistake. The FP thing just happened, so it sounds like they're cracking down on exploited loopholes.

Yeah that part is so weird. So if we both went during free dining.. 2 rooms at Poly- I took the 30% off, you took the FD.. we share the price of room/food and share credits. I'm surprised there hasn't been more info on this. Sounds like more people would think to do it. Lol

Yeah -- both save 15% on the rooms, and food goes down about 40%. Not a bad trade-off.
