Delta vs. Spirit vs. Southwest

Southwest is still all "business class"? If so, you and the kids will truly appreciate the extra space!

maybe you are confusing southwest with someone else? SW is all coach - tho they have started offering some seating up front as a second class.. but its the same seats just no one between you.

SW flies almost exclusively 737s laid out identically... cramped coach.

One Little Spark...
Frontier perhaps? I don't think so though, as I spent a large portion of my life (nearly 1/3 of it) flying around the country, and Southwest had larger seats than, say, Delta, as I recall...

Frontier was a good experience as well...

Only read the op post. Had an awful, awful, awful experience with Delta going this past March. Will never, ever use them again! Not even if it was free!!!

A week after we booked, we got told the trip coming home got moved 2 hours sooner.

Then the day before we leave we found out the plane leaving to Orlando was leaving an hour later! Lost 3 hours off our trip, I was fuming. Will never, ever use Delta again. Awful, awful experience. Avoid them at all costs

I'm gonna put the word in for Southwest. I've flown Delta and Southwest, but definitely not Spirit due to my mother's preference for the other two.

She'd worked at the airport all three had terminals in, and I can say that Southwest was better. Delta was close, but Southwest had more options for seating and all that jazz.
I believe the first checked bag on Southwest is free. You can also have one carry-on for free. It saves money.
Every time I've flown Southwest I ended up being separated from my family. But that's because my mother was positive that my siblings and I were mature enough to know what to do when the plane landed.
I guess she was right.
Anyways, if something should happen the employees are just real big sweethearts from what I've seen.

It's possible to be boarded sooner than the rest, as others have said.

This can and does happen with all airlines - and i have had it happen with both Spirit and Southwest.
