Ok here is the short story. we are going with another family. they bought their plane ticket 2 weeks ago. we bought ours last week. we had to drive tot he airport to buy ours due to a discount voucher. when i went to book the same flight as the other party the return flight was not on the list anymore. but there was a new one an hour earlier. so i figured they rescheduled the flight. but it turns out today that their flight is back onthe list & now we are not on the same plane coming home. i complained to delta but they say i have to call. but i do nto want to dish out anymore money cause it is tight already. has anyone else had this happen.

thanks

Is the flight you originally wanted overbooked now?

It may also be that, since you bought your tickets with a dicount voucher, all seats available at the discounted price had already been sold.

just give delta a call and find out why the flights keep changning, and ask if theres any way both parties can be on the same flight. Do both flights leave at the same time? im sure they wouldnt charge you any more if thats the case

It sounds like the flight you wanted was not available to book, not "cancelled" or changed. In that case yes, both flights are "on the list" you just can't get a ticket for one of them. That can happen if the flight is sold out or not open at your fare class (Not sure what type of "voucher" you were using so thier could be limits there)

If there are two flights and you are on different flights, DL will not normally just move you because you complain. You would have to pay the fare difference and that may be why you aren't on the same flight anyway.

I sounds like at the time you booked the flight was not available to use the voucher towards the class of service. As a plane fills up they tickets prices goes up by class of service. Someone could have changed their plans freeing up seats now. No matter how much you complain to Delta they will not make a change without charging you a change fee and possible fare difference. I know it does not seem fair - it is how the operate though. If the flight is only 1 hour difference on the return I would not let that ruin my vacation. Have fun!:animwink:

Airlines make the rules up as they go along then change them half way through talking to them.

They do it because they can and they know you can't flap your arms and fly there yourself, and saying you will fly with someone else in the future makes no difference as all the airlines are guilty of it :fork:

Try not to let the petty behaviour of Delta and the sake of an hour spoil your trip.
