Delta Pilots Authorize Strike

Anyone Hear Anything???

It's been a couple of weeks since a big sense of relief came to some of us who are holding Delta tickets. I know that the pilots have until the end of this month to vote, but I was just wandering if anyone has heard anything on this. Do you think the pilots will pass this? We are do to leave for the world on June 5, so this waiting is getting to me.

According to this letter that went out to all Delta pilots:

the voting begins in "mid-May" and remains open for 15 days. So we won't know for sure how they vote until roughly June 1. I haven't heard anything on the news speculating on how the vote will go; but I just can't imagine that they will NOT ratify it. What is their option, really? Go fly for FedEx?

I don't mean to sound unsympathetic. It just seems to me that their choices are take the contract (even if it's lousy) or put Delta out of business and themselves out of jobs.

hopefully you are right, for us since we are leaving on June 5, I sure hope they keep Delta flying
