i was reading another the thread about rides which have broken down with you on them. Delta Dream Flight was mentioned and this brought somethin out of the memory bank to the centre of me brain. I rember this ride i was a journey through aviation history i think it was 1992 wen i went on so the memory is a very vague one. I think it was in epcot but thats all i can rember

Can any1 else give me more info on this ride and where in epcot it was situated???

Delta Dreamflight was actually in Tomorrowland in MK. It is now Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

World of Motion could be what you are talking about. It was at Epcot and it described the history of transportation. I sure do miss both of those rides!

What used to be where Alien Encounter is located? I thought that is where Dream Flight used to be? Maybe I always came from the other direction.

At first, that attraction was called "Flight to the Moon". It was then changed to "Mission to Mars" and finally Alien encounter (after being redone... people complained that Alien Encounter was not scary, so it was changed).

I remember a little of Alien Encounter before it was changed to be scarier. I don't remember much of the actual ride, but the preshow was much more cute and the robot was Phil Hartman and not Tim Curry.

A cute preshow? No Tim Curry? Now THAT'S scary! I did not get a chance to ride(?) Alien Encounter before it was changed. I guess that's ok because I don't find it scary at all. My first time on AE, I laughed the whole time.

I'm pretty sure that the change over from Phil Hartman to Tim Curry took place before the *Official* opening. As for them making it scarier, I understood it to be the other way around. I read something (pretty sure that it was in Disney Magazine at the time) where they were interviewing imaginers on the project that said they had to tone it down and space out the dialogue more for the characters on the screen and the 'guy' that talks behind you because people were screaming so long and loud that they couldn’t hear much of what was supposed to be going on.
