Delivered Groceries or shopping at the gift shop?

What do you prefer? Trying to figure out what to do when arriving at Animal Kingdom Lodge for two weeks. We have a normal room and will not be having meals in the room. We have a rental car for the second week so we will pick up some stuff outside.

The boyfriend is bringing in his own alcoholic drinks because we will be flying overseas it's tax free whisky shopping for him. We can only take one bottle each so i am letting him take two for the huge savings. Can't bring my own bottle of wine because of that.

What to do? Is garden groceries worth it for just a couple of items? Just need maybe a bottle of wine, some snacks and a couple of water bottles. Not sure if i will get to the $40 mark so i will have to pick more things that i actually do not need.

Not sure what to do... so what do you think? Delivery or just picking up those couple of items at the gift store? How is the selection over there? Are the prices outrages compared to prices in a normal grocery store?

I am in the same boat. The way I am going to do it is probably get breakfast items for the room to reach the limit of grocery delivery. That way, I do not need to pay for breakfasts, we can do that in the room, and be ready to go instead of fighting crowds in the morning.

Well to start with, you should be allowed 1 Litre of spirits each adult at duty free.We normally take 1 Litre of Smirnoff Vodka for two week vacation.Thats between two of us and the only time we have a drink in our room is last thing at night. You don't want to be blootered walking around the parks ( aint that right Figgy ) LOL. As far as groceries go.The only shopping we do is at downtown Disney. There is a Hess supermarket opposite Planet Hollywood. They have a great stock of stuff, very cheap, and also beer.;)

What you will spend in bottled water alone will save you $14! We relax at the resort a lot more than most. We usually are in disney for 10 days. My DH brings a bottle of Jack and I usually bring a bottle of ketel one vodka. We sit by the pool or stroll around with our spiked resort mugs. We find it really saves quite a bit. For us, garden Grocer is very worth while. We are also pepsi product people which they don't have in Disney.

Thanks so much! This is what i needed! Yes it is one liter. But i do not think it's worth the duty free on a bottle of wine so the boyfriend can pick two bottles of Whisky. Not to drink both of them on the trip. He sure will take most of it home. These travel exclusives are very intresting for him.....

Youre right on the drinking! It will be definiatly be for the last drink of the day right before heading to bed! No drinking before visiting any parks. Well we do want to enjoy a beverage or two at the food and wine festival but i know for sure that too much drinking is a no go!!

Glad there is a market on property! Depends on what time we arrive but we might wanna get some stuff at arrival day. Do you have any idea on opening hours because i can't find a thing on google.

This Hess supermarket is on the main road and doubles as a gas station. You get to it by walking from the rear of PH towards the road.Youll see the sign for it high up.I would imagine it would open around 8.00am till late at night, because as I said,it's also a gas station( petrol) so you need to go inside the supermarket to pay for your gas.
