Definitive Resort Parking Info

Earlier on another thread, I wanted to confirm whether one could park all day at a resort if they had dining reservations (I read that on another blog). Apparently, I stepped in it because it resulted in a locked thread. (Oops!).

The answer posted was three hours which is obviously correct. In my case, since I'm dining at the Kona Cafe, it's not too much of an issue to park at the TTC instead.

So in an effort to correct my error, below is a response with the definitive answer which I found on the Mom's Panel from the WDW website in regard to dining at the Grand Floridian.

I would suggest parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) prior to your breakfast. Parking is usually limited to 3 hours when dining at a resort. . . .

After breakfast, take the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. When you finish at the park, you can monorail back to the TTC to retrieve your vehicle.
So, there you go.

I would recommend the Ticket & Transportation center as well.
As a common courtesy to Guests staying at the Poly, i would not leave a vehicle there all day.

Park there for your meal, but hop over to the TTC afterwards and park it for the day. Take the tram to the TTC and hop on any monorail, ferryboat, or bus to take you wherever you wish to go on property.

Have a Magical visit!

I can guarantee you no one is checking cars after three hours during the day (I know a few gates guards at two of the resorts)...even at the contemporary which is right outside of MK...once you're in with your dining reservation, you're pretty much in...you can even pull up and just say you really want something that's only found at your resorts gift shop and they'll most likely just let you park (I've done that for a Simba pillow pet when they first came out)...

However...I can't vouch for overnight parking...

There are a number of people who parked at the Contemporary 4th of July a few years ago that would disagree with you. While it is true that they are not super vigilant on a day to day basis, I have seen them tow several cars from the Poly and Contemporary during peak or holiday seasons.

Well personally it's common sense not to do it on a phase day or holiday, but that's just me...

It is common sense not to do it on any day. Parking at both the Contemporary and the Poly are at a premium. Disney can and has had unauthorized vehicles towed. All it takes is a well attended convention at the Contemporary and cars will start going bye-bye.
