Defacing of Toy Story Mania queue continues!

Ok so we all are familiar with the jail scene with the plastic covering over it in the queue. And for quite some time now people have been sliding change in between the wood and the plastic covering. So Disney put a piece of plastic strip across the top to stop it from happening. Well, that didn't work either, because now people are lifting off the plastic and sliding everything in there from coins, to photos, fastpasses and even handwritten notes. I took these pics a couple weeks ago so I don't know if this stuff has been cleaned out or not. Does anyone know why they even have a covering over this scene when all the rest do not? The cactus right next to it and in front of it actually isn't covered, so why this one element of the queue?

Check this ridiculousness out:

That's pretty bad. Honestly reminds me of the old amusement park by my house. There was a section of the log flume where people would stick gum on the side wall and it was like a wall of gum. We called it "gum City" and then people would stick coins and paper in the gum. Absolutely disgusting and hardly ever cleaned. This is such poor show. and what I don't understand is how parents allow their children to do this or why someone doesn't say something to them when they see someone doing this. Sheesh...

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

It's probably the same parents that deliberately lift their kids over the Casey Jr. fence so their precious little ones can climb wherever they want, whenever they want.
And - have you ever spoken to some of these older delinquents? They've been known to lip off to my 6' 8"/265 lb husband. I sure as heck am not going to tackle teens on my own anymore.
And don't get me started on the antics of a certain type of foreign tour group. One evening (approaching midnight) we asked them to simmer down a bit in the POP pool, and we got flashed.

I've never understood just throwing money away.

I noticed this at the docks to the ferries at MK, there's a TON of change next to the pilons, like A TON, I think WDW could pay for Next-gen with how much free money is just collecting there. Who just throws money away at a dock? .

I believe any money collected from fountains/rides that isn't deteriorated is donated to local charities.

The sad but true nature of guests today. I wish Disney would be a little bit more vigilant to curb the problem, and try and clean it up more often.

I believe the original point of those plastic facings was to stop people from peeling/scratching the paint and decals (aka: defacing the queue). They were installed shortly after the attraction opened and we were having problems with it. Looks like they ended up leading to an alternative method of doing the same thing.

I say just take off the plastic. They could just as easily deface any of the other items in the queue and they don't, so why this one?

Its no different than throwing it in a fountain.
That money gets cleaned once a year or so then gets donated to charity. Sometimes it may be used by CM's to buy a coke after work :)

Why don't they put a cast member there to stop it? It's disgusting.
Because Disney doesn't trust their employees and the they don't empower them. A Cast Member could only politely say "Please don't do that" all the while being laughed at as the actions go on without consequce. Disney would rather accept unacceptable behavior than have somebody complain, even Iftar complaint is without basis.
