Dedication Stones?

Hello everyone,
Could someone please give me some information on how to get the engraved stones at the magic kingdom? My mother passed away yesterday and my family is just devasted. My mom and dad are huge disney fans and were annual visitors. My dad really wants to have a stone in her memory there so I would like to do whatever I can to get that for him. Do you actually have to be at the park to do it or can it be done online somewhere?

i don't know anything about the stones, but my heart goes out to you for your loss. i am so sorry and will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Im so sorry to hear about your loss. From what I understand the bricks are over and done with. But they have special times durning the year that they sell them. you could Leave a Legacy with your moms name at EPCOT. And they will put her name on the marble stone infront of SSE. I am going to do this in March when I go. If you do some rescarch on this site you can find out all you need to know about Leave A Legacy. And the bricks at MK that has a name to it too but I forgot it.

Apparently it is possible to purchase a brick if you know the right contacts/try hard enough.

Can someone PLEASE (Steve, Erika, Mom) make a sticky thread saying that these stones are still available if you go through the right channels. There have been an awful lot of threads started about this lately. Not complaining to the OP for asking an innocent question, just saying that it seems to be a hot topic.
