the wife and I are going to be at wdw dec 17 -22 and we would like to know if there was much damage from all the storms and if so has it been repaired

Have a good time! I don't think the damage was severe and the damage that it did cause will probably be fixed up by then.

Just got back and there is almost no impact to any of the parks. The only major exception was that parts of the Living Seas (restaurant and executive lounge) were flooded/wet and being repaired. There are trees broken or removed from most resorts, some park areas and especially on the general grounds, but it's only a visual distraction. The worst is seen riding the monorail from TTC to Epcot.
