December Disney Trip Question???

I need help, guys! I booked my next Disney adventure for the first week of December (3-11) 2010! I can't wait!
Then, all of a sudden out of the blue, I'm told that the national cheerleading competition is that week! :brick:What the?
I need advice of people who have been to WDW during this event. Are the crowds unbearable during the day? What about at night? I don't want to change my weeks, but I will if I have to.

Anybody else with experience during this pop warner/ cheerleading event?
I want to spend a lot of time in the parks at night this trip. Hopefully the kiddies will be in bed to get their rest for the next big day of competition!

You will be FINE!!! As long as you are not staying at a resort they are staying at!!! We were there in 2008 during Pop Warner week and we rarely saw them at all!!! They compete during the day and they DO have a curfew at night. I think we saw 2 groups total in the parks the entire week we were there.

We are there the same dates as you, and honestly I am NOT worried at all!

We went during that same time frame last year and it almost caused us to never go back. You can read my TR http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=526850&highlight=draybook for details but hopefully it was just a fluke last year. I hope that your trip goes well. We decided to go back to September trips because we never waited more than 15 minutes for anything other than TSMM and the crowds were just fine.

We are planning go to disney on Dec 2010! But I don't know which hotel should I take maybe a moderate or Deluxe? I would like to stay in CBR or Contemporary?

I hear that as long as you stay away from the value resorts during this week, you'll be ok.
