for select days. Only some of our days fall into the discount rate dates, and they won't discount those 4 days.. I don't want to pay rack rates:brick:

The only thing you can do is make multiple reservations at the same resort. It is a pain but it will get you the reduced rates. However, this only works on a room only reservation. If you booked a package you are stuck.

Really? :lookaroun

We are staying for 9 nights. 2 of the nights fall outside of the discounted date range. I received the AP discount for 7 of the nights, and am paying the rack rate for the 2 that don't qualify. All in one reservation. We have the AP + dining package.

That is the way the new system is supposed to work. Maybe the OP got a hold of a CM stuck in the past.

EDIT: actually after reading th OP a little closer they are upset that they will not discount the days that fall out of the avaliable dates like they would in the past.

This sort of stinks! The three times I am going to visit WDW in Q4 all fall during black-out dates for these new AP discounts!
:(

Way too many people are now going in middle October and early December these days!! I would expect Thanksgiving week to not be discounted but the second week of December?? Come on!!

I really dislike being stuck paying rack rate as an annual passholder! I know it's not an entitlement for discounts availability, but it sure stinks when they block me out.

Yeah, I read it again and now I'm not sure what the OP meant. I thought she meant they wouldn't discount the dates that DID fall in the range. I have no problem paying the rack rate for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, since the rest of our trip was heavily discounted! *dances*

I concur! I was originally staying at POFQ, but I couldn't get a discount on the days of my trip. I know it isn't a guarantee...but it seems like if you can get them in July, you should be able to in October.

On a side note, my situation worked out pretty good. The CM I got on the phone was awesome! She did a little digging and got me in at AKL for about $60 more than what I was paying at POFQ (AP Discount at AKL...obviously). So I'm pretty happy! :D

no, I'm just confused as to why we're not getting the first 4 nights at a discounted rate. I do not expect the other nights to be discounted.

Did you notice the black-out dates listed in the offer? There are quite a few!

Sounds like your first 4 nights might fall in that period. The dates outside the black-out periods (before or after) would still qualify for the discount under their new system, if available.

If any of your nights fall in the discount time period and of course are available you should be able to get them. The only reasons I can think of why you could not get them is if you were booked with some other discounted package or AP rates are no longer available at the resort you requested for that particular time.

I don't know guys, Nov 30- Dec 3 are Not blacked out, I've spoken to 2 CMs and they said they couldn't do it for those nights . It's not like we need the discount or we won't be able to go, I just like to get a deal . I should just be grateful we got the room we wanted, for the dates we needed I guess.

It is a good possibility that your resort is sold out for those dates. Have you tried changing resorts?

Perhaps the resort you chose just doesn't have any availability (discounted) for those days. There's just so many possible reasons, who's to say why??

I called twice tonight and was told the AP rates weren't out yet. I know this is not true because I have read this forum.

We are booked for 10/23-10/25 at PORS. I am willing to change resorts if need be.
