Debit Card for Room Charges?

HI All~~~
It just occurred to me to ask but has anyone or do you know if you can use a debit card (which takes charges right out of your checking account) to set up a room charge so you don't have to carry cash around the parks? I wouldn't see why not but inasmuch as it's not REALLY a credit card like MC, Visa or Discover, I'm wondering if Disney has a problem accepting it for room charges. My debit card does have the VISA logo on it...anyone help me on this one?

Thanks much!!!

One very little-known fact is that you can set up two (or more) separate room charges within the same room. EVen a lot of CMs aren't aware of this. If you wish to do this, you have to tell the CM you want to set up a "share." You must use the word "share." If they say it can't be done, ask them to check the front desk manual and/or ask a lead for guidance.

Did I miss anything???

When trying to set up a Share back in September, I was told that it wasn't possible with my Package reservation. The CM knew what a Share was, knew how to do it, even checked with his Lead, but the computer wouldn't allow it.

I leave for WDW next Thursday, so I'm going to try again to set up a Share. I'll report back when I get home whether or not it was successful. If I'm not able to, I'll also make sure to inquire whether it's *any* package, the Free Dining package (which I was on in Sept and will be on again next week), or if it can only be done on a Room Only reservation.
