When I say empty I mean a huge open area with literally ONLY my wife and I. She was pushing herself against the wall and running and hiding from literally nothing, doing this whole performance. She would peak her head out from the cover of buildings and run again.

It was awkward, weird, and not entertaining. Looking back it is pretty funny though.

My first visit to Star Wars Land was on a whim in late June, 2019. A few weeks after it opened and no one showed up, just before they started the marketing campaign to visit Disneyland Ahora! It was me... and a few dozen bored CM's. Dozens of CM's standing around all talking to each other about how mad they were to be scheduled on July 4th and how Katie threw another killer keg party on a planet called Fullerton last week and was sure to do the same for the 4th. The CM's completely ignored me. It was kind of nice, actually.

I wonder if Bob Chapek actually believed the script he was given that said the Star Wars Land CM's all had their own backstory? He was obviously clueless when it comes to how Disneyland operates and how the CM's behave in front of the mere paying customers, instead of the pretend show they do for the execs who get in for free after valet parking at the Grand Californian.

I mean, really, Mr. Chapek can't honestly be that stupid can he? Can he?!?

Probably best to not answer that, at least if you are a shareholder...

I thought Hondo was everyone's number one!

The people with a passing interest in Hondo are just the bored people in Standby whose phone battery died 30 minutes ago and are now forced to watch the pre-show and try to figure out who Hondo is and why they should care.

It's really a minority of the people at Disneyland.
