Got the DVR Set. Looks like Lenny takes a hook to the noggin and gets bloodied up. Keith once again flips out on someone.

There's a look-back episode on tonight - goes back to season one. Here's the description from the Discovery Channel's website:

Rebuilt with facts, tweets, and bonus footage - relive the exhilarating triumphs, soul-crushing defeats, and epic journeys of the Dutch Harbor crabbing boats, their captains, and crews during an exclusive recap of the season that started it all.

They've also got the DC marathon going today from 3PM on.

The look back was so fun to watch. Seeing the way it was, a sprint to get the most in a short amount of time. Now it is more about the captains and crewmen, when before it was about crabbing and the dangers. I totally remember those first 2 major events with Kado...that overboard was amazing to watch the first time. Then the in Opies he hurts himself again. Big sack to keep on going at it after that.

I liked having all of the extra footage in the other episode that was on too. The captains and crew speaking about what had happened. I was undecided about Elliott throughout, but hearing him speaking in those extra cuts made me not like him. I understand he wants to make his mark and such, but the way he does it is just bad. The crew is the life-blood of the boat. Need to keep them safe and he was too worried about beating everyone that he forgot about them and their safety. Jake Harris seems to be on the path to destruction. And those marks on his face had me thinking Meth and not acne.

The throwback was outstanding. I watched it on NetFlix over the summer last year to see the first season. Last season's recap was outstanding as well. Best show on television.

Oh man! We are the BIGGEST Deadliest Catch fans! Been watching since day 1. Love it!

Saw the look-back this week. Liked seeing the snippets of the captains & crew commentary. Good stuff. Have to agree with @SAV, the bits with Elliott were so not pretty. Made him look like the biggest @$$. Not sure what to make of it overall. I mean, it seems to be par for the course with "reality" tv to paint/cast someone as the villain. Is he really that big a tool or is he cast/edited that way? Or maybe they're making a guy with a bit of an attitude into more of a jerk than he actually is? I dunno. And his last comments about the Rambling Rose, the guy mumbles so bad, is he coming back this season?? Hubby says he was fired from the Rose last year but I don't know. I must have missed that. So if he's coming back, on what boat??? And if the RR isn't coming back, what ship will fill that slot? I know it won't happen but wouldn't it rock to see the Maverick this season????

**sigh**. Then there's the Harris boys. Josh seems to be moving along. I caught my heart in my throat when he talked about Jake. Addiction hits close to home for me so I may be a little over-sensitive. Jake looked...unwell...hollow even at Jake Anderson's wedding. I've seen that look before. The eyes. It really, reeeeally tugged at my heartstrings. Hopefully he will find himself again and come out of that fog. I hope it happens before he is lost forever but its something only he can do. I was glad to hear Cornelia took the boat from the boys. That needed to happen. When the time is right, when one is ready, I'd love to see a Harris at the helm again. But they weren't ready. And like Phil said, "You got to earn it." Good on Cornelia. The failures would've only served to defeat the guys. When the time is right its an opportunity to truly achieve in the right way. Ya know?

Man, Jake Anderson never fails to amaze me! That's one driven fella! If I could bottle what he has, that spirit! I'd give anything to be able to have my boys have that drive, that can-do soul. Is there nothing that guy isn't able to accomplish??? I don't think so! Love watching his journey continue. Warms the heart, for sure.

Keith. At what point does his physical outbursts have a real consequence for him? Seriously. I'm almost surprised to even see production crews on his boat after his little tyraid last season. Did it not remind you of a 2 year old?

Love love loooove me some DC!!! Can't wait for Tuesday!

Love the show and have never missed an episode. We are really looking forward to seeing the new season unfold. Looking forward to next week.

Keith is going nowhere. His explosive attitude = ratings. You never know if you are going to see Keith throw someone into a wall or find him crying because he made a bad decision. He in an emotional mess.

I would have loved to have been able to meet Sig and Edgar @ the Norway pavilion in Epcot the few times they were there for a fan meet and greet. I would be honored to shake there hands.

Read an article today about Elliott. Not going to link it because I'm typing on my iPhone and my eyes are so shot right now its hard to see. Anywhoo, Elliott is coming back at the helm of F/V Saga....

...that he purchased.

"A million dollars in debt with 10 bucks to his name." There's our villain.

Keith. You're right. He is an emotional mess. Needs some Prozac or a swift kick in the...never mind. I don't tolerate outbursts well. I'd be worn that brat out. Lol!

Forgot to post about it, but loved "The Bait". The actual show was good too. Maybe Elliott's dad will keep him in line a bit more this season. Jake Harris looks in terrible shape. He's just so messed up. That wedding footage was rough to watch. The dude was higher than a kite. I loved how they were ripping on Junior. But he took it all in good fun. Keith always seems to have an issue with someone every season.

Amazing that Wild Bill was fired from his boat last year. He's a seasoned veteran.

Looks like there's gonna be a lot of fireworks on all of the boats.

Looks like Junior and Keith aren't going to be the "partnership", like Keith thought. Keith took the bait, hook, line and sinker and Junior is going to laugh all the way to the bank. IMO, pretty sorry move on Junior's part.

I'll preface this by saying I missed the last 5 minutes of the show because my DVR clipped it.

Why do you say they aren't going to be a partnership? Did something really important happen in that last 5 minutes to change things? They seemed to be working very well together the whole show.

Sig was on some huge numbers to start, yowza.
