Further Details:
Disney has announced single ($29.99) and double-disc ($34.99) editions of Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest which stars Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom. Each will carry a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. The full extras have yet to be revealed I'm afraid - although we are able to confirm that the single-disc version will include two writer commentaries and a blooper reel. The two-disc collector's edition will include that along with a number of behind the scenes featurettes that detail the characters, stunts, special effects, and Pirates lore. You can also expect trailers, and a preview of the next Pirates film. Stay tuned for further details.

Awesome! I'm counting down the days. But why are they doing two versions? Isn't the two-disc version a little pricy? It better come with more than just the two discs (i.e. lithographs, picuture book, etc....) But I knew there will be previews of the next film! I predict it to be one of the all time best selling DVDs! :)

You are probably right. Hey, did you see how all of a sudden, The Curse of the Black Pearl is back on the DVD best seller list after it had been off for some time now. I thought that was pretty funny. Maybe some people went to go see the second one without seeing the first one and then after seeing the second, they wanted the first. That probably means good things to come for the DVD sales.

*sigh* tooooo long to wait, ill be getting the region 2, so ill have to wait for the heads up on that one (id get region one but i have the region 2 first one - i like continuity with my dvds!) :( Still, glad theres a 2 disk - over here we are starting to just get one disk editions - which often suck! (some dont even have enhanced audio - unlike the region one of three coutner parts (alot of region 3's are released with EVEN MORE options and features then region 1 and 2 put together :o
